Dr. Seuss’ Birthday
is Dr. Seuss’s Birthday.
If you have Dr. Seuss’s
The Foot Book
handy read it to your child (If not- that is OK…the activity is still fun without it)
Stapler (or tape)
What to do:
Help your child paint the bottom of their feet.
Place some construction paper on the floor (It might help to lay out newsprint…or large paper to make sure your floor is covered)
Help your child make foot prints on the construction paper.
If your child has the patience for it, use different colors for different
pages. (You can even get in on the fun…so you have a “Big Foot”
Then clean your child up and take them to the table.
Talk about the foot prints…what color they are.
Whose Foot is it?
Is it the left foot or right foot?
Write some describing words about each foot print on the page.
Then make a cover page that says “Aven’s Foot Book” (Use your own child’s name) .
Bind the edges together to create a book for your child.
