March 3rd

 March 3rd is National Anthem Day

America’s national anthem is The Star Spangled Banner

Materials:

red white and blue construction paper

glue

scissors

hole punch

What to do:

Use a white piece of construction paper as the base for the flag.  Then cut out a block of blue for the upper left hand corner.  Using a hole punch cut out 50 holes in the blue block (for 50 stars)  Then cut out 7 stripes of the red construction paper.  Help your child arrange the blue block and the red stripes to make the American flag.  Glue the block and stripes down on the white piece of paper.  Talk about the flag and sing the national anthem with your child!
